Best attractions to visit?

Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial, Diamond Head Crater

What is overrated?

We’re landlocked so no road trips to other states. Hawaii is a beautiful place to live, but the cost of living is also high!

Best free things to do?

Drive around the island and visit all of the beautiful beaches! Some of my personal favorites include Waimea Bay, Pipeline, Lanikai, and Yokohama. People love to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. There are also lots of hikes like Lanikai Pillboxes and Koko Head Crater.

Do you have a metro system?

We currently don’t have one, but we’re in the process of creating a rail system. Everyone drives or catches the city bus.

Best places for nightlife?

Most of the nightlife is in Honolulu, especially Waikiki. That’s where most clubs, bars, and concerts happen.

Best shopping?

There’s shopping centers all around the island. The largest is Ala Moana, a big outdoor mall! There’s also shopping in the heart of Waikiki, and other small malls like Pearlridge, Waikele, and Ka Makana.

Advice for someone visiting?

Spend all of your time at the beach and experiencing the outdoors! Hawaii is the place to drive around and adventure. I recommend trying local eateries and going to a luau. There are also other fun activities like shark cages, swimming with dolphins, parasailing, surfing and skydiving!
